Let's see... I'm pretty ashamed about not writing in a while, so I'd better do a quick update even though have no time.
On Martin Luther King's day I got my hair cut and didn't get as much homework done as I would have liked... the holiday actually ended up throwing me off more than get me ready to face more of the onslaught of schoolwork.
I took my first French test which went pretty well. A couple of days ago I got an amazing job offer: I'm going to be teaching German 202, which is incredible since I haven't taken the "mandatory" pedagogy class and haven't done any teaching outside of TAing a bit. This will be MY class... I'm in charge of the syllabus, of tests, of everything. It's a little scary, but it's the opportunity of a lifetime!
Thursday I participated in a giant game of twister which was amusing... poor Kelly was always the first to fall over, but also the first to laugh about it. We re-decorated our Christmas tree (yes, it is still up) to make it a St. Patricktines day tree, and had a massive cleaning action in the apartment so it looks beautiful at the moment.
Friday was quite eventful... I took my Mambo test for dance, which I thought went pretty well. I graded some tests, discussed them with Professor Kelling, then rushed home to make a mask. I wasn't planning to go to the masquerade since I didn't have a date, but two days before Kelly had told Darin (in my presence) that he should just take me. He agreed, so it was a scramble to find tickets and make masks etc. It was the first formal dance of my life. The courthouse was the perfect place to have it... ornate walls, columned halls, lively music etc. I taught Darin a little cha-cha and two-step and he did some freestyle which I was able to follow pretty well.
I'm kind of drawing a blank about anything else... it hasn't been to exciting, just insanely busy with school, so nothing really new.
Anyway, Allyson and I are going to be singing in the musical fireside in a few minutes and we need to run through our song one more time, so for now, I bid you all adieu...
Margaret
